During our holiday travels we spent time in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where I grew up. It was wonderful to be back and experience the beautiful landscapes, the freshly fallen snow, and taste some of my favorite dishes from restaurants I’ve grown to love over the years. Despite the snow, it was gorgeous weather and a lot sunnier than Chicago this time of year!

While in town, I got to photograph a wonderful family. We began the session in downtown Santa Fe with the beautiful adobe buildings and art, and then finished on a nearby hill just as the sun set. It was about 28ºF that day, but you could hardly be bothered by the cold with such a beautiful family and the most gorgeous evening light!
