Ryan first contacted me back in the Spring about a possible proposal for his girlfriend (Stephanie) during their visit to Chicago. They would be visiting from VA, and Chicago was one of Stephanie’s favorite cities (so perfect!). He chose a gorgeous location: Chicago’s Milton Lee Olive Park, which features a beautiful view of Chicago’s skyline, as well as a neat overlook that juts out over the water.

The day of the actual proposal turned out to be perfect. The sun was beginning to set and there wasn’t a single storm cloud in sight. They arrived and casually walked over to the edge of the lake, taking in the view. While Stephanie got some shots on her phone, Ryan pulled the ring out of his pocket and got down on one knee. She of course said YES! And between hugs, kisses, and contagious smiles, I captured it all on camera.
