I was first contacted for Lily’s newborn session through the twin’s mother and was very happy to meet this lovely little girl when she was just a week old!

Each newborn I work with is different. So even if I arrive with an idea of which poses or what props I’ll use, I almost always end up readjusting my plan once I start. This happens when the baby is not sleepy, when they like certain poses better than others, you name it! But the great part of this is that it means each session is not a cookie cutter session of the same exact poses, but a unique-to-the-baby session that is unlike any others. Therefore, my sessions not only reflect my work, but that particular baby.

That brings us back to Lily. She first fell asleep on her back, and despite me moving her arms down, she’d stretch and put them back by her head. This was how she was comfortable, so I went with it. And I think the photos of her in this position are just darling!
