On March 1st I had the honor of photographing a beautiful proposal. We had expected a cloudy winter day in Chicago, but somehow the sun managed to appear at the last moment! The proposal took place just outside the Adler Planetarium by Lake Michigan with the city skyline in the distance. John enlisted my help to bring a bouquet of Kelly’s favorite flowers that would be waiting for her when they got to the lake. Despite the chilly temps and the lake being frozen over (and covered in snow!), it was a gorgeous winter day and the perfect romantic spot for the proposal.

These two have been together for four years and it was so easy to tell how in love they are. I’m truly so thrilled for this newly engaged couple and am happy that they’ll always have this beautiful memory of Chicago to carry with them!
