Hassan + Ankita | Chicago Millennium Park Proposal

As I made my way to Adler Planetarium for this proposal, my heart began to sink. Traffic was incredibly bad this evening. I had planned to arrive a half hour early, and there I was, minutes before it was to begin, stuck in a standstill in the middle of the road. It turned out, this was the evening Taylor Swift was in town for her concert.

When Hassan and I finally connected by phone, he informed me that they had switched venues. Could I make it to the new location? They were now at The Cloud Gate (aka The Bean) in Chicago’s Millennium Park. I struggled to get out of the barely moving line of cars to turn around and head back downtown. Luckily, within 10 minutes I was on my way and out of the mess.

When I arrived to Millennium Park, Hassan, friends, family, and a guitarist were ready for the proposal to begin. As we quickly organized ourselves, Ankita began to walk over from the other end of the park. Moments later she arrived, soft guitar music playing in the background, and Hassan got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She said yes! Tourists, along with friends and family, clapped and cheered. It came together so well that you’d have never known there was originally a whole different plan in place.

After the proposal we had a great time taking couple photos, family photos, and or course a few shots of the beautiful engagement ring. Congratulations to Hassan, Ankita, and their whole families!

Special thanks to Dancing Ink Calligraphy for the gorgeous calligraphy names.
